Truck Driving » Overview

If your favourite part of the week is watching Ice-road truckers, and you consider yourself an expert driver, a qualification in professional Truck Driving could be for you.
Truck Driving

Truck Driving courses at tertiary level are designed to teach you the skills and techniques needed to transport goods by heavy road vehicles, safely and efficiently. With these skills, you will be able to enter into any industry that has the need to transport goods on a large scale. This opens the door to positions in a huge range of companies. For example, as a professional Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods along the supply chain from raw materials to the docks for export.

Not only will your training involve learning to drive trucks, but also the necessary first aid and communication skills needed to practice a safe career. You will also achieve a forklift ‘F’ endorsement, a dangerous goods ‘D’ endorsement, and learn about legal practice in relation to commercial truck driving. As Trucking Driving is a hands- on job, studying this field balances theoretical and practical tests in order to prepare you for your career.
