There are many branches to the rural sector including, general farming, dairy technology, animal technology and agritechnology. Different qualifications will specialise in different sectors so it’s best to have an idea on what you want to specialise in before you choose your qualification.

Rural Technology prides itself on its commitment to balance both theory and practice. You will learn how to manage and diagnose problems and diseases on a farm by taking plant and animal samples. Many of these skills cannot only be learned through a textbook, but require hands on practice in order to effectively identify these risks.
