Hospitality Management courses can include information on many different areas of hospitality where you learn core skills in areas such as cookery and culinary arts, food and beverage services and front office. Other courses allow you to specialise, where you go more in-depth into the operations of your chosen area. In addition, you will also learn the management skills you need to ensure the effective and efficient running of hospitality outlets.

  • Management/supervisor skills: communication, organisation, management, personnel supervision, accounting, marketing and hospitality law (e.g., laws relating to the sale of liquor).
  • Hospitality operations: this means you will learn the fundamental tasks associated with different areas in hospitality.
