Dance » Overview

Whether you see yourself as being the next Michael Jackson or lead role in Swan Lake, studying Dance at a tertiary level will help you build that competitive edge.

Dance is the study of both the practical and theoretical elements of dance. Areas of study include ballet, jazz and contemporary techniques as well as dance education, drama and choreography.

Dance is more than just moving and by choosing to study Dance at a tertiary level you will learn in dance (as a medium for exploring, thinking, creating and communicating), learn through dance (for example problem solving, self-confidence, teamwork and leadership) and learn about dance (different forms of dance and the functions of dance in both the past and present).
