Animal Behaviour

Animal Behaviour is the scientific study of everything that animals do, whether the animals are fish, reptiles, birds or mammals. It includes looking at the relationship between animals and their physical environment, as well as how they interact with other organisms.

Animal Behaviour can include topics such as how animals find and defend resources, avoid predators, find mates, reproduce and care for their young. Knowledge of animal behaviour is of growing importance in areas such as evolutionary biology, conservation and the efficient and humane management of farm animals.
