Like any business, farming and other agricultural activities are heavily reliant on the skills and knowledge of management running the business – without the appropriate understanding of economics, management, marketing, finance and other commerce related subjects, there is little hope for business sustainability.

A course in Agribusiness aims to develop students with a suitable qualification for entry into a wide range of commercial activities directly or indirectly servicing the agriculture and horticulture sectors.

Topics and skills you may cover

  • International trade and finance
  • Managerial economics and strategy
  • Logistics, transport and distribution management: become familiar with logistics and issues that companies face relative to logistics and distribution decisions
  • Good analytical thinking and ability to synthesise information in development of sound and innovative solutions
  • Understanding of ethics, multi-cultural and international environments
