Sagar-Vandewart Scholarship for String Players

The Sagar-Vandewart Scholarship for String Players was established in 1976 by Mrs Dora Sagar in memory of her late husband, Frederick Henry Sagar. 

The purpose of the award is to assist students undertaking a full-time programme for a performance degree of diploma at the University of Auckland.

Applications are open to students who are:

  • under the age of 25 years; and
  • enrolled or eligible to apply for enrolment in a full-time performance course in the School of Music, in which the subject of performance study is a stringed orchestral instrument.
