Ormond Wilson Scholarship

Value: $1,200 per year

Tenure: Up to two years

The Ormond Wilson Scholarship was established in memory of Ormond Wilson, famer, politician and scholar. 

The purpose of the scholarship is to assist students attend Victoria University a study towards a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science.

Applicants must be:

  • Entered for NCEA Level 3 or Scholarships examinations in the year of application; and
  • Under nineteen years of age on the first day of December of the year of application; and
  • NZ citizens or have NZ permanent resident status; and
  • Intending to enrol full time for the first year of a BA and/or BSc degree(s) at Victoria University of Wellington in the year following the year of application, and be intending to remain enrolled at Victoria University of Wellington at least until the completion of their BA and/or BSc degree(s). 
  • Candidates will be selected based on academic ability, character, qualities or leadership and contribution to cultural and/or sporting activities.

 In addition, priority will be given to those who, due to financial hardship, may otherwise be unable to undertake tertiary study.
