Norman and Norma Sutherland Scholarship in Civil Engineering

The Norman and Norma Sutherland Scholarship in Civil Engineering was established in 2005. Norman Sutherland attended the University of Canterbury Engineering School from 1946 to 1948 and thereafter became a prominent Christchurch engineer.
The scholarship aims to support Civil Engineering students who through personal or family circumstances face significant financial difficulty entering the second Professional year of a BE(Hons) at the University of Canterbury.
In order to be eligible to apply, applicants must either be New Zealand citizens or hold permanent residency.
