The Murray Richards Bursary was established from a fund established in 2001 as a memorial to Murray Richards, an Associate Professor at Massey University.

The purpose of this award is to encourage and support students majoring in Horticulture and studying at Massey University, Palmerston North Campus.

In order to apply, applicants must have embarked in the year of award, on a course of undergraduate or postgraduate study in Horticulture at the Palmerston North Campus.

The revenue generated from the interest earned on the capital fund determines the value of the award. The scholarship is to be paid towards tuition fees.
