Canterbury Bright Start Earthquake Scholarships
Tenure: One year
The Canterbury Bright Start Earthquake Scholarships were established in 2012 by the Canterbury Education Millennium Trust and the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal Trust. The purpose of the scholarships is to recognise and support students who were directly affected by the earthquake events in Christchurch and who are experiencing financial hardship as a consequence.
In order to be eligible to apply, applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who have not attended full-time at any tertiary education institution. Recipients will be full-time students at Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology, Lincoln University, or the University of Canterbury.
The scholarships cover tuition fees and compulsory fees for the fist year of study.
