AUT Business and Law Maori High Achiever Scholarship

The AUT Business and Law Maori High Achiever scholarships aim to recognise and support students of Maori descent who have proven excellence in academia, leadership and service to the community at secondary school and are intending to enrol in the Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Laws at AUT.

At least two scholarships will be offered each year. The scholarship is awarded for the payment of the recipient's tuition fees and compulsory student services fees.

The tenure of each scholarship is for up to three years of full-time study in the Bachelor of Business and up to four years of full-time study in the Bachelor of Laws. Annual renewal of the reward is based on the student achieving a minimum B grade average at the end of each year of study.

All applicants for these scholarships must:

  • Be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.
  • Identify themselves on their AFE as New Zealand Maori ethnicity.
  • Be enrolling for the first time in a full-time Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Laws programme.
  • Be full-time New Zealand secondary school students in their final year of study.
  • Demonstrate a high level of academic achievement in NCEA Level 2 or higher (or in an equivalent qualification) at a secondary school.
  • Demonstrate leadership and service in the school and/or wider community.
