Customer Service Representative

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and energetic Customer Service Representative to join our busy team in our dual Fruitfed/ Rural Supplies store in Kumeu.

About the role:
This is a great entry level role to kick-start your career in agriculture or could equally suit someone with industry or retail experience. Based in-store, you will provide top-quality technical sales advice and unbeatable customer service to a range of both horticultural and agricultural clients. You'll be heavily involved in the day-to-day manual operation of the store such as assisting with stock management and display, sales processing and deliveries. You'll have a keen interest and passion for the local horticultural and agricultural sector, and your ability to relate well to both colleagues and clients will set you up for a long and successful career with in our organisation. This role is full time (minimum 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday), plus rostered Saturday mornings.

What you'll be responsible for:

Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services
Process sales and product requests
Assist customers, colleagues and suppliers to answer queries and resolve problems
Assist the Store Manager with regular administrative tasks
Order, unpack and display merchandise according to company guidelines.

What we're looking for:

A real people-person with an enthusiastic and energetic attitude
Good physical fitness as regular heavy lifting is required
New Zealand rural/ horticulture sector knowledge and experience is preferred
Previous retail and/or sales experience is an advantage
Proven computer and administration skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
A full, current and clean New Zealand drivers licence is essential.
