Opus Cadetship Programme » Overview
Opus’s cadetship programme is a 3-5 year programme which enables you to study towards the Diploma in Civil Engineering while being employed full time and working in the industry. Opus cadets get the chance to work in a variety of engineering fields including surveying, contract and project management, design, geotechnical engineering, laboratory work and construction, just to name a few. Our cadet program encourages cadets to rotate around disciplines in order to gain understanding and appreciation of the different areas that combine to form civil engineering.
You can tailor your training to suit your ability, there are compulsory and elective subjects allowing you to map your training to suit the fields you are working in. The number of papers you want to achieve in a semester is up to you; meaning those wanting to complete the study in a shorter time period can, and those wanting to take more time and develop more of their practical experience can also do this.
