I will be finishing Year 13 at the end of this year and do not want to go to uni.
I have always had an interest in plumbing, how do I go about finding employment in this field after I finish school?
Also, are there many apprenticeships available in this felid?
Thanks for the question, I'm sure many other students are wondering about this too.
Sites such as SEEK, student job search, Apprenticeship Training Trust, and Trade Me regularly advertise on behalf of companies looking to recruit young adults such as yourself, so its worth keeping an eye out on these sites.
In terms of apprenticeships, there are a few different ways of getting your apprenticeship certificate. This can be done via studying part time at institutions such as Unitec, or through joining your local plumbers union-most of these will have structured programs that allow master plumbers to work with apprentices. Classroom instruction and on the job training teach apprentices the craft and trade of plumbing.

I hope this is of some help, let me know if you have any more questions.
