I'm going to study a commerce degree at auckland uni next year in accounting and finance. It's probably a bit early, but what are the best places to look for a job after I finish uni?

Hi Tim,

It's never too early to begin looking over your career options. There are a number of different channels that you can look at.

Firstly, many large companies set up stands at career expos organised by universities. There, you'll be able to talk to a company representative about graduate careers options. They may also take your contact details, or provide you with details to apply for upcoming roles.

GradConnection.co.nz is a great website that provides students/graduates with information about internship and graduate programmes offered by New Zealand's best employers in a wide range of industries. You'll find information about what the roles entail and how to apply.

Finally, your university offers a careers and employment service called CareerHub that you can check out.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!
