Waiariki Institute of Technology Live Chat

Hi Katie,

the student life is pretty cool here on campus.  It's a fun and vibrant, multicultural environment where we host many on-campus events.  O week is totally awesome, with heeeeaps of students on campus, all having fun and meeting each other.  We have a gym and rec center at our Rotorua campus where you can work-out for a really low fee, and join up with like-minded people.  We have a student association called WITSA who are highly active around campus, and they hold their own cool events, student council meetings and are a huge voice for our students.

What are the qualifications? I don't mind studying somewhere else, just trying to find the closest place possible. :)

Hi there,

Do you offer any courses in IT?

No worries - our qualifications in computing are listed here:

We have exclusive Waiariki BoPP scholarships open to the degree level quals which can make tertiary study with us even more affordable!

Hi all,

Waiariki Bay of Plenty Polytechnic, with campuses in Rotorua, Taupo, Tauranga, Whakatane and Tokoroa are online now to answer any questions you have on our range of qualifications, student life and more!

Hi Waiariki,

Do you offer more courses now that you have joined with BOP?

Hi Jason,

We have some great new qualifications in areas like health and the environment for 2017 that we have been working on prior to our merger, plus we have qualifications previously offered in Tauranga that you can now study in Rotorua too, such as sports massge.

Is there a particular area you are interested in?

Does Waiariki have a bridging course that I can do to make up my credits before starting a degree?

Hi there,

Do you have any courses avaliable for distance learning?

Thanks :)

Hi Ben,

We sure do. If it is NCEA credits you are after, CVS (Certificate in Vocational Skills) is FREE and not only allows you to gain the credits you need, you can do a taster of some of our most popular qualification areas while you study to see if they are for you!

Call our team on 0800 924 2674 to talk to our friendly team about the CVS, or visit for more info.

Hey Eugene,

We do have a few quals available for distance learning. To make the answer a little shorter, is there any particular area you are interested in?

Is there anyone I can come and have a chat to about what I would be best to study?

Really confused...?

Hi Jerome,

There sure is - our student information centre has a really great team that sits down and works out not just what course you can do, but what qualification actually suits you - helping you find that one you'll get a buzz out of as you study and into your career.

Give them a call to arrange a free chat, 0800 924 274 is the number.
