Hi Jane,

Thanks for that, I am considering studying next year, but have not made up my mind yet. If I wanted to pursue a career with toyota after university what kind of subjects should I study?

Hi Toyota,

What opportunities do you have for Auckland people?

E.g. people with business degrees, majoring in sales in Auckland?

Cheers

Hi Oliver,

We have a wide range of graduates employed in our dealerships and here at Head Office. It would depend on which area/department of Toyota you were interested in and if you were considering the dealership environment or Head Office. Many of our current graduates have a qualification in Business and majored in marketing, commerce, management, human resources, psychology, entrepreneurship... the list is quite long!

Hi Alex,
Toyota sounds like a great place for you! I really like your idea of working part time at a Toyota dealership - I would recommend you approach your local dealership and start the conversation. Happy to connect you with the right person if you would like!

Hi Aaron,
Thanks for your question. You can check out our current vacancies here: https://toyota.qjumpers.co.nz/jobs/ and I'd also recommend you check out our Dealer Graduate programme as this might appeal to you: http://www.careers.toyota.co.nz/careers-subpages/dealer-graduates/
We constantly have vacancies in Auckland so I'd suggest you keep checking the page. You may also like to pop in to your local dealership and have a chat about your options.
Thanks, Jane

Hi Toyota,

Being a girl, I am unsure that there  are many opportunities for me at Toyota. I do however have a really keen interest in both business and automotive engineering.

Can you tell me what the culture of Toyota is like from a females point of view please?

Thanks :)

great thanks Jane. I am considering a business degree as I think it might be quite versatile. How many graduates do you have at head office? Do they get quite a bit of training and development?

Hi Jane I was wondering do you have specific characteristics you look for in graduates that you hire?

Thumb_toyota_ourpeoplelogo_rgb_v
Hi Grace,
There are definitely opportunities for you at Toyota! We have women in all areas of the business - in the workshop, in sales, in parts and logistics, in management roles, and three female CEOs running very successful dealerships. We are always on the look out for keen, passionate females (and males!) to join the team.
One of our core values is respect for people and I believe every one of the Toyota team in NZ live and breathe this everyday. You are employed for your skills, potential and attitude, and are valued for the contribution you make.
From my perspective, every one is treated equally, with respect.
Hope that helps Grace!

Hi Oliver,
The current graduate programme is focused on developing leaders for our dealerships across the country, rather than our corporate head office. We employ graduates into vacancies and we have a strong belief and commitment to training and development for all of our people.
Our Dealer Graduate Programme has significant training and development to equip participants for a career path in leadership positions in the network.
Hope that answers your question!
