Hi Careers NZ,

Wondering if you can tell me what the job prospects for the construction industry are like at the moment and what they are looking like over the next 5 years?

Thanks

Hi Bruce, Yes the building boom is here in New Zealand for awhile, slowing down now in Christchurch but on the rise in Auckland. Our government is making moves to help advance young people wanting to enter the trades to enable New Zealanders to meet the current housing demand.

Bruce, you may like to view a link from our website by clicking on the link below. This is our construction industry profile and within this section you will see a list of related jobs and the job outlook for each trade.

http://www.careers.govt.nz/jobs-database/construction-and-infrastructure/ Construction and Infrastructure industry profiles.

I hope the link above will help you with your ideas on future construction related career outlooks.

Kind regards

Mary

What are the best places to study hotel management?

[Thanks for waiting Caleb! I hope you are still online?

Careers New Zealand offer an unbiased service so we are unable to provide you with a personal choice or best training provider but we can tell you 'what' and 'where' the training institutes are within New Zealand. The Careers New Zealand website offers a list of related courses through out New Zealand.

Caleb, all you need to do today is click on our courses link below and view the training options, bearing in mind how far you would have to travel to get to the course and if necessary move to the location where the most suitable course is being offered.
