Osteopath

Osteopaths treat disorders of the body by gently moving muscles, bones and joints. They help to relieve pain and improve the function of the body. This branch of healthcare is interested in holistic healing, the body as a whole and the interaction of the structures within it.

From an osteopathic perspective, the body should be treated as a whole when diagnosing and treating health problems. Osteopaths believe that the body is generally able to heal itself, but when it is disrupted, it may not be able to do so. When this happens, an osteopath use subtle adjustments of the bone and body to try and free the flow of energy and body fluids in the body.
