Marketing Manager

Marketing managers plan and direct the promotion, sale, public image, and development and presentation of an organisation's goods and/or services. Essentially, they are responsible for coming up with a plan that brings the customers and revenue in. They may also manage the organisation's public relations with the media, sponsors, business partners and the community.

In order to develop a good marketing campaign, marketing managers need to find out what will appeal to their target audience; therefore, they oversee market research surveys and research to help understand the needs of the customer. This is complex role that involves overseeing a variety of company departments, including advertising, sales and public relations. In order to excel in this role, marketing managers need to able to multi-task and offer support to employees in various marketing-related roles.
