Logistics Manager

A logistics manager facilitates and manages that movement of goods from origin to their desired destination. For example, a logistics manager may be in charge of managing transportation of goods from manufacturer, to warehouse, to retail stores.

Essentially, it is the role of the logistics manager to make sure that goods are kept flowing in an organised and efficient manner. In order to do so, they will have to remain in close communication with manufacturers, warehouse managers, and retailers so that goods arrive at their intended destination at the right rime and in their original condition.  

Large companies that have their own warehouse will commonly employ a logistics department that works in close relation with the warehouse and merchandising department to ensure that stores are kept stocked.
