Environmental Engineer

Environmental engineers assess the impact of engineering projects on water, soil, air and noise levels, and advise and design ways to minimise this impact. They also work in response to pressures caused by a growing population, such as intensifying land-use pressures, rapidly evolving technology, air pollution and waste product systems.

It is the job of environmental engineers to develop sound solutions for utilising resources that fall within the framework of maintaining or improving environmental quality, as well as complying with government regulations.
