Director (Film/Television/Video)

Directors are responsible for interpreting a script or story, and communicating that story to viewers via film, television or video. They are responsible for every creative aspect from start to finish. The process begins when a director reads a script and develops a vision for how the story should be told in terms of lighting, mood, emotion and specific shots. They may also have the initial idea for the script or story, or make suggestions to the writer for improving the script. During the filming process, the director gives final approval for every camera angle, effect and set design. They work collaboratively with crew and cast members to create the right mood for each scene, making sure that the story come to life.
