Concrete Worker

Concrete workers pour, spread and finish concrete for a variety of structures such as buildings, stairs, footpaths, driveways, patios and bridges. Essentially, they construction workers that are responsible for the building of structures made from cement.

When building structures out of concrete, concrete workers often first build the structure out of wood or metal to pour the concrete into and hold the wet cement. They then level the concrete and use specialised tools to add decoration and detail to the structure.

Concrete workers sometimes supervise at construction job sites to oversee other labourers and ensure efficiency and quality. Most work for government-owned organisations, but some experienced concrete workers may work for themselves and operate their own contracting businesses.
