Accounts officers are in charge of arranging an organisation's payment of bills and accounts. This person is responsible for ensuring that a business pays it creditors within a certain period of time. This involves paying invoices, bills or statements received from outside contractors, vendors or suppliers. They are also responsible for maintaining the company’s general financial records regarding the invoices that have been paid.
